With a sizable population of women employees, we believe in equal pay and opportunities for all. We ensure participation of our women employees in key decision making and encourage them to take up leadership roles.
We adhere to the working standards as prescribed by ESG, and ensure clean water and sanitation for all our employees. Our facility is certified with a Clean Water Certificate, which makes our water safe to drink in an industrial zone.
At Kottex, we have retained all our critical employees since 2007, and have extended a multitude of financial and non-financial benefits to them. Some of the benefits provided to our eligible employees include, gratuity, PF, ESI and employee workmen’s compensation insurance. We also provide group personal insurance to our key employees.
To ensure that our employees receive utmost support at work, various committees have been set up for grievance redressal, such as the POSH Committee, Health & Safety Committee, Complaint Committee and an employee-led Working Committee. We also conduct periodic mental health seminars for our employees. Apart from this, the Company has a strict No Child Labour Policy.
Since the commencement of our operations, we have always made conscious efforts to build sustainable and resilient infrastructure and upgrade it whenever needed, to ensure quality output with maximum resource-use efficiency.
Our group has contributed significantly to the promotion of different investments, production, export and employment generation, thereby also contributing to the Indian Textile Industry and the economy at large.
Our entire value chain, right from sourcing to packaging, adopts strict sustainable practices. We recycle our weaving waste and stitching waste to create handmade paper and cloth bags respectively. the textile waste from weaving, and stitch them into handmade papers and bags for reuse. We also restitch fabric wastes into packaging and carry bags.
To further Kottex’s mission of becoming completely sustainable by 2030, we are setting up a solar power plant, to be commissioned in 2023. With this solar power plant, we will switch our power consumption to solar energy entirely.
